Safety By Design Continues National Rollout Of The Turner Lock

(HIT) - Safety by Design, a St. Louis, Mo.-based company that develops innovative home safety products, is continuing its national rollout of the Turner Lock.

The Turner Lock is a single-cylinder deadbolt lock that can be locked from the outside of the home with one quick keyless turn. Rotating the metal collar on the outside of the deadbolt eliminates the extra step of having to insert a key to lock the device. The Turner Lock features universal size cylinders with pick-resistant mushroom pins to discourage break-ins and three, 3" jamb screws with a solid metal strike box for added security.

"Studies show that only 50 percent of United States homeowners have deadbolt locks on all exterior doors and only half of those are used," said Steve Leinenbach, chief executive officer for Safety by Design. "Therefore only 25% of homes are secured with deadbolt locks. With burglaries on the rise, installing the Turner Lock is a convenient, safe step to protect a home."

The Turner Lock exceeds Grade 2 deadbolt lock standards and provides Grade 1 security features for added protection.
