Divide And Conquer Spaces Creatively In Your Home with Johnson Hardware Sliding Door Hardware

(HIT) - Doors should do more than just hang around and sit on their hinges. They should be dynamic parts of the home, helping you divide and conquer interior spaces in creative ways that enrich your lifestyle. It’s a tall order for a traditional door. That’s why multi-pass sliding doors are sliding so naturally into today’s homes. An appealing, affordable alternative to traditional doors, multi-pass sliding doors reshape interiors with bold and seamless transitions between spaces that were once contiguous or separated by solid walls.

Johnson Hardware’s versatile Multi-Pass Sliding Door Hardware lets consumers and designers divide and conquer interior spaces
Johnson Hardware’s versatile Multi-Pass Sliding Door Hardware lets consumers and designers divide and conquer interior spaces by creating "movable walls" anywhere in the home.

Multi-pass sliding doors are about choices, giving you the option to close off or open up rooms any time for entertaining, quiet retreats, or other purposes. Essentially a multi-panel "door-in-the-wall," they require virtually no space and make it easy to transition rooms into more open or cozier spaces on demand. They are also ideal where wider doorways are desirable. For instance, multi-pass sliding doors offer easy, clear access to two-thirds of a closet opening because no swing-out or fold-out doors block your path.

"Consumers are driving the trend toward multi-pass sliding doors in remodeled and new homes. They want flexible ways to divide and change rooms to match changing lifestyles and design preferences," said Stephen Johnson, Vice President, L.E. Johnson Products, manufacturer of sliding, folding, and pocket door hardware for residential and light commercial applications. "Homeowners and designers can use multi-pass sliding door hardware to customize living spaces and enhance flow. For example, these doors can function as ‘moving walls’ to divide a finished basement into an entertainment room, office, laundry area, and child’s playroom—the possibilities are endless."

Johnson Hardware uniquely packages its innovative Multi-Pass Sliding Door Hardware so it’s a breeze for designers and consumers to install with the doors of their choice, whether that’s Shoji-style screens to tastefully section off a bedroom and bathroom, glass window walls or solid carved wood panel doors between living and dining areas, or something even more extraordinary. With such versatile products, you can expand or divide any room and integrate new accents, enhancing home spaces in personalized ways.

Johnson Hardware’s Multi-Pass Sliding Door Hardware comes in standard pre-packaged sets of commercial/residential grade hardware configured for three-door applications with three tracks. You can customize multi-pass sliding door systems with individual track lengths and different parts. The 200MD Heavy Duty Hardware holds doors up to 300 pounds, while 100MD Medium Duty Hardware holds 200 pounds. The popular 111MD Standard Duty Hardware handles 150-pound doors. Extruded aluminum tracks feature convex rails and jump-proof ball bearing three-wheel hangers for smooth, secure motion. The convex track has one point of contact for less drag and wear-and-tear. Hardware requires a two-foot-wide, 10-foot-long wall space to house doors.
