CertainTeed Debuts Panorama™ Composite Railing System

(HIT) - CertainTeed Corporation is proud to unveil Panorama™ Composite Railing System, a co-extruded composite railing system that features the true look of freshly painted wood without the maintenance hassles. The newest addition to the company’s growing portfolio of railing products, Panorama complements any composite, vinyl, wood or concrete surface with its attractive, low-maintenance design. Panorama comes as a complete system including universal rails, top rail, balusters, crush block, post sleeve, and patented post cap and trim ring.

Unlike other composite railing, Panorama is fully wrapped with white polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for a weatherable Colonial White finish that replicates smooth, painted wood from all angles. The attractively styled railing system features concealed hardware for a seamless, bracket-free look. Its core is made using CertainTeed’s patented EcoTech™ material, a composite formulation of PVC and 100-percent recycled maple wood flour.

Panorama is an integrated system designed to install quickly and easily with few pieces. Kits come with all necessary hardware to expedite installation and ensure accuracy. The hardware is constructed of stainless steel to guarantee corrosion resistance over time. Top and bottom rails are pre-drilled to accept the balusters, making the assembly of the railing sections quick and the baluster spacing precise. Panorama is designed to avoid slots or pockets where water can collect or insects can hide. Plus, a raised edge along the length of the universal rail prevents balusters from spinning. Once installed, there’s no exposed cavity in the top rail, contributing to the system’s strength and appearance.

Panorama maintains consistent quality over time and can be easily cleaned with soap and water. And, unlike wood, Panorama is not susceptible to termite infestation, won’t rot, decay, splinter or crack, and features a Class A fire rating. The weather-resistant system is backed by a 10-year limited warranty and comes with CertainTeed’s exclusive SureStart™ coverage.
