Direct consumer site advertising

The Home Improvement News and Information Center conveys current home improvement information directly to a qualified national audience. Consumers visiting the site are likely researching options for an upcoming home improvement purchase … an ideal environment for advertisers.

Feature Service and News Release Service participants receive one FREE banner ad placement on each page that displays their editorial publicity articles (please contact Carole Stewart for ad specifications or to arrange for Home Improvement Time to prepare a display ad for you). Additional ad placement opportunities within the national consumer site are available in two formats:

  • One 168[w]x144[h]-pixel static or rotating display banner position is available on each page of the site.
  • Several 140[w]xANY[h]-pixel sidebar display positions are available on each page of the site (up to a maximum of 280 pixels [h] per ad and 600 pixels [h] total per page)

Consumer site targeting

Using site targeting tools within Google’s AdWords™ program, sponsors can now serve text and image-based ads directly to H.I.T.’s national Home Improvement News and Information Center, and/or to localized network sites. Visit Google’s AdWords information section to learn more about individual site targeting.
